It’s not only affecting me but also my guild. I am so sick and tired of raiding with the fear of being disconnected in the middle of a pull, logging back on and being dead. txt files for each of the three EU IPs spanning my game opening until the inevitable disconnect. Flushing DNS and power cycling my router/modem.Closing other applications to ensure there is no conflict.After being disconnected I am able to log back into WoW as fast as I can type my password and spam enter.I have a wired connection, and no other application suffers during the times I am disconnected.On some occasions I am able to move my character around inside the otherwise frozen world. Every disconnect, every aspect of the world will freeze for approximately 2-3 seconds before I get the standard disconnect message (WOW51900319).I’ll detail below some important information pertaining to the disconnects and some of the fixes I have tried. If neither works, swap to ethernet and rerun that WinMTR and catch a disconnection. You’ll need to delete your interface/all your addons temporarily in addition to the WTF/Cache for this - and they all need to go at the same time to prevent the corruption from sticking around.īeyond that, you can try power cycling your connection - there could be some bad data stored regarding classic servers. Try removing any addon managers you use (Twitch/wowmatrix/etc) and reset your UI.
A lot of the addons available for classic at the moment haven’t had the years of testing that many of the Battle for Azeroth addons have, and you mentioned your problem was exclusive to Classic. Basically, there are some programs that can break deleting the WTF/Cache/Interface folders.
You mentioned you deleted some of the folders, but it doesn’t look like you did a full UI reset at any point. If what I post below doesn’t work, you’ll probably need to at least test on an ethernet cable to see if it improves. I’m not 100% convinced wifi is the cause just yet. The problem in general may have something to do with the wifi due to where the problems in that test seem to start, but we can try a couple quick things before swapping to a wired connection.
